The area is an up-and-coming wine region, and along with grapes, the Grand Valley is famous for its peaches, pears, cherries and apples. Drive to the top of the Grand Mesa byway and you’ll be on the world’s largest flat-topped mountain at 10,000 feet. Population: As of the 2010 census, the population of Grand Junction was 58,566.
