Minneapolis St Paul Minnesota


Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota Retirement Nicknamed "City of Lakes", Minneapolis’s name was coined from the Dakota word for water, and polis, the Greek word for city. It is the county seat of Hennepin County and the largest city in the state. It adjoins Saint Paul, the state's capital, and together the Twin Cities comprise the 16th-largest metropolitan area in the U.S. Truly an area abundantly rich in water, there are over twenty lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi river, and numerous creeks and waterfalls. Population: There are approximately 3.3 million residents in the metropolitan area.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is a hub for Delta Airlines, providing retirees with a gateway to the world.

Travel and tourism: Minneapolis can be considered the “artiest town on the prairie”, with a multitude of coffee shops, organic and ethnic eateries, swank art museums, and enough theaters to be nicknamed Mini-Apple (second only to New York City).
