Transportation:Providence’s nearest commercial air service is T. F. Green Airport in nearby Warwick. Amtrak and MBTA Commuter Rail services provide excellent connections to Boston. Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) provides traditional local bus service as well as the Providence LINK which is a system of tourist trolleys in downtown Providence.
Travel and tourism: Retirees will not want to miss the Museum of Natural History in Roger Williams Park, which was opened in 1896. It houses more than a quarter million objects, about 85% natural history and 15% cultural materials. Providence also has a thriving arts community, vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, outstanding hotels, a renowned restaurant scene and many things to do.
