Colleges and Universities: Retirees will want to check out The Lifetime Learning Center in Seattle. They offer daytime, non-credit college-level courses in a wide range of subjects, from literature, history, and opera appreciation to bridge, yoga, and tai chi (geared to older adults), watercolor, quilting, computer classes, and writing your life story.

Transportation:King County Metro provides bus service within the city as well as a streetcar line and a fleet of electric trolleybuses. Walk Score ranked Seattle 6th most walkable of U.S. cities in a 2011 study. Sea-Tac Airport provides commercial air service to destinations throughout the world.

Travel and tourism: Seattle has many amenities to enhance retirement life such as its arts and cultural institutions, many live theaters, and the downtown art museum. Seattle is proud of its parks, professional and collegiate sports, Pioneer Square and the Pike Place Market.
