The State of Connecticut is steeped in the history of the USA and the sea. The former whaling towns of New London and Mystic, Connecticut are home to many great historical sites and museums. Mystic Seaport docks the Charles W. Morgan, built in 1841 and the only surviving wooden whaler in the USA.

Connecticut offers some of the richest history in the USA. One of the original colonies, Connecticut is home to the Litchfield Hills region with its inns built centuries ago, antique shopping, fine dining, and splendid scenery.

Southwest Connecticut is tied to New York City. Originally a bedroom community for commuters to New York, the region has since developed as a home base for many national and international financial services, real estate, insurance, and other businessess.
